(School & Religious Education Opportunities at Immaculate Conception in Brief).
Parish Religion Education
Co-ordinator: Mrs. Lorraine Muntwyler (937-643-0378)
This is the successor of CCD programs, or the equivalent of "Sunday School". We have approximately twenty students; a mix of children not enrolled in a Catholic school, children who have missed the sacraments at the "traditional" ages, children whose parents are entering the Church, and children who want or would benefit from the "Sunday school" experience. Our tuition is $20 a year to cover books and materials. Registrations are the weekend
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Co-ordinator: Jana Bennett 258-2510
This program is for children ages 3 through second grade. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is rooted in scripture and liturgy, and is based on Montessori methods of teaching. The primary aim in a classroom of this type (called an Atrium) is for children to fall in love with Jesus the Good Shepherd.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Co-ordinator: Fr. Satish Joseph (937-252-9919, Ext 234)
This is the process by which adults and children of catechetical age (7 or older) become members of the Catholic Church. This is an ongoing process that begins when people are ready. Please contact Fr.Satish Joseph for details about the program and to continue on your faith journey.
Adult Faith Formation
Co-ordinator: Mrs. Gail Lyman (937-293-9373)
Immaculate Conception has the most vibrant adult faith formation program in the area. Regular adult faith formation sessions are conducted on the third Wednesday of the month September-June. Each Friday (9am-4pm) and the second Wednesday (6-8pm) of each month we have Adoration in the Chapel (please enter through the north doors on the school side of church). We invite you to visit www.itemissaest.org for daily reflections, Sunday homilies, a listing of Adult Faith Formation events and other spiritual resources.
