The IC Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is a volunteer-based mission to educate and promote the Catholic Faith. Classes are held for children of pre-K (ages 3-6) all the way up to 8th grade. The 3-6 year old classroom uses Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which is a Montessori-based religious education program taught by a certified catechist (see www.cgsusa.org for more information) The five goals of faith formation sessions at Immaculate Conception Church: · Provide Knowledge of God · Create opportunities for a deep experience of God · Provide an experience of community · Communicate the sense of being needed · Develop a sense of wider social responsibility IC PREP also offers
preparation for the sacraments of Penance, First Holy Communion, and
Confirmation through the program. Let the PREP teacher know of your students'
needs for these sacraments. Classes are held each Sunday: 9:30-10:45 am - Pre-K through 4th grade (before the 11 o’clock Mass). 4:45-5:45 pm - 5th through 8th grade (before the 6 o’clock rock Mass).
