Feed the Homeless
On the last Wednesday of every month our parish community helps provide for the guests staying at St. Vincent Hotel on Apple Street. If you would like to help provide a casserole you can sign up with Mary Dowsett (517-803-3289 | email@example.com) . She collects the casseroles on the last Wednesday in the South parking lot at 10:00 AM and delivers them to St. Vincent de Paul.

A Big Thanks & A Warm Welcome
"God will provide” is a mantra held dear by many, and God has done so again. For over 20 years we have had the privilege of helping provide meals for the guests of St. Vincent de Paul hotel under the guidance and leadership of Carmelita Duckro. It is with tremendous gratitude that we celebrate Carm’s years of tireless work. Carm stepped down recently and we are humbled by and grateful for the volunteers that carried the ministry through the summer navigating the challenges presented by COVID.
It is with pleasure that we can introduce Mary Dowsett who will be taking over for Carm. Here is a word from Mary: “I am grateful for this opportunity to join the good work of Carm and many others. My husband and I are living in Dayton while he pursues his PhD in Theology from UD. I was working in Flint, MI for the Church ministering in a marginalized neighborhood community. While I remain connected to the mission in Flint, I look forward to being involved in this local ministry for SVDP.”
Now that summer is over, we will be returning to the regular schedule and following the format Carm used. Casserole drop-off will be the last Wednesday of the month. Due to Covid, sign-up will be with Mary by phone or email. Please call her at 517-803-3289 or email at email@example.com.The next casserole drop-off is Wednesday, September 30 at 10am at IC. When you contact Mary to sign-up she will figure out with you the best way to get the casserole pan and recipe to you for the month of September. Thank you to all who are participating in this work of mercy!
