Congratulations on starting the exciting process of preparing your child to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion for the first time. The entire team looks forward to journeying along with your family during this exciting time.

Children who attend Immaculate Conception School and other area schools come together for First Reconciliation and Communion Preparation. The main component of the preparation is four sessions that cover: prayer, the Bible, Reconciliation and the Eucharist. These sessions have components for both the children and at least one parent or guardian. The other components of First Reconciliation & Communion Preparation are Jesus Day and the First Reconciliation Service. Please see the included schedule for full details.

Families may choose the Mass at which their child will receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion for the first time. The choices include: Saturday May 16, 2026, during the 4:30pm Mass (in English) or Sunday May 17, 2026, during the 9am Mass (in Spanish). Families need to decide which Mass no later than Wednesday January 21, 2026. If a family is completing First Communion preparation at Immaculate Conception but plans to receive the Sacrament at another parish within the Bread of Life Family of Parishes, they should indicate that during registration. 

Please return your registration paperwork by September 2, 2025. You may give the forms to the parish or school office, place it in the collection at Mass, or download and fill out the forms and return them via email. A signature is required where indicated; printed copies are available upon request. 

There is a fee of $50 to offset the cost of materials used in the preparation program. This fee is due at the time of registration. The fee can be paid in cash or by check made out to Immaculate Conception Church; the fee can also be paid online through Faith Direct: https://membership.faithdirect.net/events/org/796.

¡Felicitaciones por iniciar el emocionante proceso de preparar a tu adolescente para recibir los Sacramentos de la primera Reconciliación y la primera Comunión! Todo el equipo de formación espera viajar junto con su familia este año.

Los adolescentes que asisten a la Escuela de la Inmaculada Concepción y otras escuelas de la zona se reúnen para la preparación de la primera Reconciliación y la primera Comunión. El componente principal de la preparación son cuatro sesiones que cubre: la oración, la Biblia, la Reconciliación y la Eucaristía. Estas sesiones tienen componentes tanto para los niños como para al menos uno de los padres o tutores. Los otros componentes de la Primera Reconciliación y Preparación de la Comunión son el Día de Jesús y el Servicio de Primera Reconciliación. Las familias pueden elegir la Misa en la que su hijo(a) recibirá el Sacramento de la Sagrada Comunión por primera vez. Las opciones son:

• Sábado 16 de mayo de 2026, durante la Misa de las 4:30 p.m. (en inglés)

• Domingo 17 de mayo de 2026, durante la Misa de las 9 a.m. (en español)

Las familias deben decidir cuál Misa prefieren antes del miércoles 21 de enero de 2026. Si una familia está completando la preparación para la Primera Comunión en Inmaculada Concepción pero planea recibir el Sacramento en otra parroquia dentro de la Familia de Parroquias Bread of Life, debe indicarlo al momento de registrarse.

Por favor, entregue sus formularios de inscripción antes del 2 de septiembre de 2025. Puede entregar los formularios en la oficina parroquial o escolar, ponerlos en la colecta durante la Misa, o descargarlos, llenarlos y enviarlos por correo electrónico. Se requiere firma donde se indica; copias impresas están disponibles si las necesita. 

Hay una tarifa de $50 para ayudar a cubrir el costo de los materiales usados en el programa de preparación. Esta tarifa debe pagarse al momento de la inscripción. Se puede pagar en efectivo o con cheque a nombre de la Iglesia Inmaculada Concepción; también puede pagarse en línea a través de Faith Direct: https://membership.faithdirect.net/events/org/796.
